Last year, we interviewed farmers who participated in on-farm weed management research through the University of Maine to hear about their weed management strategies, challenges, and experiences participating in the research project.
While we talked, we mapped out mental models that visually illustrate how each farmer relates their priorities for their whole farming system with their weed management strategies, and, specifically, their physical weed control practices.
The following posts are case studies with summaries of each interview, and the mental models that represent each farmers’ weed management system.
